Abstract Managing Information Technology (IT) investments
continues to be a challenge for firms due to the difficulty associated
with demonstrating IT contributions to organisational performance.
Many IT contributions are not accounted for because they cannot be
easily quantified. Linking IT to organisational performance is a
complex problem that is informed by insights from multiple theoretical
paradigms. This paper aims to comprehensively review work done by
both academics and practitioners and to explore why new approaches
to managing IT investments are needed. To achieve this aim, we will
start by defining IT assets and business value and exploring the
different dimensions used to measure the business value of IT. Then,
we will look at the early research on IT business value and the
emergence of the Productivity Paradox. After that, we will delve into
the three current theoretical paradigms: economics, management and
sociology. The theoretical lenses and models used in these paradigms
will also be discussed. Finally, future research directions are
suggested.

Abstract Examining the impact of network capability competency on the
organizational performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria is
the study's main goal. Using network capabilities effectively
boosts organizational effectiveness. The development of a
company's capabilities that it may use to differentiate itself in the
market and satisfy customers is aided by strategic network
capabilities. They are essential, especially in the cutthroat
corporate environment of today, which is characterized by volatile
markets and an unpredictable, dynamic commercial environment.
The study's research methodology was a cross-sectional survey. A
5-point Likert scale questionnaire was used to collect data from the
sample of 320 Bankers, and multiple regression analysis was
carried out using Stata version (13) software. The study concludes
48
that a firm's volume and type of commercial relationships define
its network position, which has an impact on the success of the
firm. A vital element of attaining long-term business success is a
company's capacity to manage its network connections.

Abstract The study’s general objective is to determine the influence of compensation management
practices on the employee performance of Banks. The main research instrument used for the
study was a questionnaire. A cross-sectional research design was employed. The population of
the study comprises 700 employees of selected Banks, while a sample size of 255 was derived
using Taro Yamani's formula but 253 were returned and used for analysis. The reliability of
the questionnaire showed a Cronbach Alpha value above 0.8 for all the constructs. Simple
regression was used to test the hypotheses with the aid of Stata version 13 software.
Correlation analysis showed that the constructs were positively correlated. Single regression
was conducted to the formulated hypotheses and post-regression diagnostics tests were carried
out to certify the regression model. The study finds that: Recognition has a significant effect
on employees' performance in banks (Coef. = 0.587, p = 0.000). Pay has a significant effect
on employees' performance in selected banks in Delta State (Coef. = 0.551, p = 0.000). The
study concluded that fringe benefit is one of the ways to promote and retain an employee in the
organization and management should be able to sense the active employees and create ways
of appreciating the employee's effort put into action in the organization. The study provided
that recognition is a form of compensation that boosts employee performance in the banking

Abstract This study examined the effect of budgeting and budgetary control on the performance of commercial
banks in Nigeria, using Zenith Bank PLC’s a case study. The research investigated the effectiveness of
the budgeting process, the impact of budgetary control on financial performance, and the challenges
faced in implementing effective budgeting practices. Findings reveal that Zenith Bank’s budgeting
process is highly structured, transparent, and aligned with its strategic objectives, demonstrating
flexibility to adapt to changing economic conditions. Budgetary control significantly enhances financial
performance, particularly through improved cost management, resource allocation, and profitability.
However, the study also identifies challenges, including issues with accurate budget forecasting,
resistance to change, and limitations in technological infrastructure. The research concluded that while
Zenith Bank’s budgeting process and controls are effective in achieving financial goals, addressing these
challenges could further optimize performance. Recommendations include investing in advanced
technological tools, enhancing employee training, maintaining budget flexibility, improving change
management strategies, and adopting advanced forecasting techniques to align budgets with actual
performance. This study contributes valuable insights into the role of budgeting and control in enhancing
financial management and operational efficiency in Nigeria's banking sector.
